* 2012: iW Alternative GP

The history of APIS AM, formerly known as iW Partners, dates back to 2012 with the founding of General Partner iW Alternative GP S.àr.l and the launch of iW Alternative SIF-SCA (the “SIF”).

* 2014: AIFM agreement

After the onboarding of the sub-fund Apis Lucrosa into the SIF in 2014, the decision was made to establish an Alternative Investment Fund Manager (AIFM). As a result, the company was incorporated as a public limited company in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and received its AIFM license at the end of 2016.

* 2017: Management of our UCITS

In 2017, the company expanded its license to include discretionary asset management and began managing its first Undertaking for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS).

* 2020: Management Company

In 2020, the company obtained the UCITS management license as a Chapter 15 Management Company and extended its AIFMD license to include hedge funds and commodities funds. The company was rebranded as Apis AM.

    Sandra, graduated in Law, started her career at JP Morgan in Luxembourg, first as a Transfer Agent before joining the Compliance department for almost 10 years. Sandra then joined the Wealth Manager Petercam, where she also participated in the constitution of the Management Company as Conductive Officer. Following the merger with the Degroof Group, Sandra joined Degroof Petercam Asset Services in 2016.

    Sandra joined APIS Asset Management in 2019.

  • Compliance

    Céline, graduated in Finance with a specialization in audit and internal control, started her career at KPMG in Luxembourg, as an auditor in the fund industry before joining the Fund Administration Internal Control department of Banque Degroof Luxembourg as senior manager. Following the merger with the Petercam Group, Céline joined Degroof Petercam Asset Services in 2018 as Compliance Officer. Céline has 20 years of experience in the fields of investment funds.

    Céline joined APIS Asset Management in 2021.

    With almost 30 years experience in the Fund industry, she started her career as auditor before moving to an in-house counsel function for the investment fund legal within one of the biggest group of the place. Michèle pursued as head of the investment fund legal and then became CEO of the Management Company within that group.

    Michèle joined the Board of Directors in June 2021.

    Pierre is a lawyer with more than 20 years’ experience designing and steering complex fund structures in the real estate, private equity and lending funds sphere. Expert in all phases of fund life, from design to liquidation.

    Proficient in product development and contract negotiations, Pierre demonstrates entrepreneurial record at restructuring existing law firm business resulting in 4-fold profit increase and successfully managing two business start-ups. Pierre is acting as Principal at Deynecourt.

    Cédric has already more than 25 years’ experience in financial matters, especially in private equity. During the years, he has contributed to the development of numerous economic and commercial projects in Europe, becoming quite an expert in these fields, while building a network of HNW and UHNW individuals in several countries.

    In 2003, Cédric and Ingo launched the Belgian-based company ‘Investment for Wealth AG’, a professional adventure that would lead to the current structure.

    Today, Cédric is a Director of APIS ASSET MANAGEMENT.
